DOC for red and white wines in the Veneto wine-growing region in Italy. The zone includes 28 communes in the province of Vicenza. The wines produced are Cabernet (Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon, also as a Riserva), Chardonnay (85-100%, Pinot Bianco up to 15%), Garganega (90-100%, Trebbiano di Soave up to 10%), Merlot (100% varietal), Pinot Bianco (85-100%, Pinot Grigio up to 15%), Sauvignon (90-100%, Garganega up to 10%), Tocai Italico (90-100%, Garganega up to 10%), Tocai Rosso = Grenache Noir (85-100%, Garganega up to 15%) and Tocai Rosso di Barbarano or Barbarano for short (85-100%, Garganega up to 15%, higher minimum alcohol content). The Spumante is made from Garganega (50-100%), which may be blended with Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon (up to 50%).
