Latium

DOC (also just Olevano Romano) for red wine in the wine-growing region of Latium in Italy. The zone includes the commune of Olevano Romano, from which it takes ist name, and parts of the commune of Genazzano in the Roma province. The wine is a blend of Cesanese di Affile and/or Cesanese Comune (90-100%), as well as optionally one or more of the varieties Barbera, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Bombino Bianco and Trebbiano Toscano (up to 10%). It is made in Secco, Amabile and Dolce versions, and is also available as a Frizzante and a Spumante. Two further DOC´s, Cesanese del Piglio and Cesanese di Affile also exist.
