We were able to taste a range of 2006 vintage wines of very solid quality. Practically all of the white wines are very refreshing, and should be drunk while they are young.

The vintage 2005

This year we particularly liked the Lagrein Classic. While many of the so-called prestige wines matured in barrique lack charm and are rather brittle, we appreciated the freshness and character of this nominally much more basic wine. We are uncertain as to the development potential of the Gewürztraminer, that still remains to be seen.
