DOC for white wine in the north of the wine-growing region of Tuscany in Italy. The zone includes the communes of Carrara, Massa and Montignoso in the province of Massa-Carrara. The wine (which is also made as a Frizzante) is a blend of Vermentino (70-80%), Albarola (10-20%), as well as any mixture of Malvasia Bianca Lunga and/or Trebbiano Toscano (up to 20%, Malvasia maximum 5%), and is available in Secco, Abboccato and Amabile versions. The Vin Santo ist he same blend of grape varieties, the grapes must be dried, and it is made in Secco and Amabile versions.
