DOC for red and rosé wine in the Apulia wine-growing region in Italy. The zone includes the two communes of Brindisi and Mesagne in the province of Brindisi. Rosso and Rosato are made from Negromaro (70-100%), as well as optionally blended with one or more of the following varieties: Malvasia Nera, Susumaniello, Montepulciano and Sangiovese (up to 30%). If it has a minimum alcohol content of 12,5% vol, and is matured for two years, the Rosso may be called a Riserva.
