The „Alessia e Denis Montanar“ estate is located in the commune of Malborghetto in the Friuli-Giulia-Venezia wine-growing region in Italy. Denis Montanar started growing wine here in 1989, the vineyards have been run along organic guidelines since 1995. The vineyard area totals 20 hectares. Varieties planted are as follows: Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Verduzzo Friulano, Tocai Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Natural yeasts are used for fermentation, and only some of the wines are filtered before bottling. The „Borc Dodòn“ brand was created in 1995, this is derived from the name of a commune in Friuli.
