Top wines in Domain Bivongi DOC

DOC for dry red, rosé and white wines in the wine-growing region of Calabria in Italy. The zone includes the commune of Bivongi, from whence the name, as well as Camini, Caulonia, Monasterace, Pazzano, Placanica, Riace, Stignano and Stilo in the province of Reggio Calabria, as well as the commune of Guardavalle in the province of Catanzaro. Bianco is a blend of any of the following: Greco Bianco and/or Guardavalle (Uva Greca) and/or Montonico Bianco (30-50%), Ansonica and/or Malvasia Bianca (30-50%), as well as of other permitted white varieties (maximum 30%). Rosso (also made as a Novello) and Rosato are made from Nocera and/or Calabrese and/or Castiglione (30-50%), Magliocco = Gaglioppo and/or Maglioccone = Greco Nero (30-50%), as well as possibly from other permitted red (maximum 10%) and white varieties (maximum 15%). If aged for two years or more, the Rosso may be called a Riserva.
