DOC for white wine in the province of Verona in the west of the Veneto region in Italy. The zone includes the hilly areas as well as theu ndulating plains between the Adige river and Lazise on the south-eastern shores of Lake Garde, and includes the communes of Bussolengo, Castelnuovo del Garda, Lazise, Pastrengo, Peschiera del Garda, Sommacampagna, Sona, Valeggio sul Mincio and Villafranca di Verona in the province of Verona. The area approximately coincides with the DOC Bardolino. Dry Bianco (also made as a Superiore) is a blend made from Trebbiano Toscano (20-45%), Garganega (20-40%), Tocai Friulano = Trebbianello (up to 30%), as well as from one or more of Cortese = Bianca Fernanda, Riesling Italico (Welschriesling), Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Malvasia Toscana (20-30%). Dried grapes are used to make a Passito, which is made in Amabile and Dolce versions. Spumante is produced in Brut, Extra Brut and Extra Dry versions.
