DOC for dry white wines in the Marches region in Italy. The zone includes 18 communes stretching along the Metauro river, from whence the name, in the province of Pesaro. The wine is yellow straw in colour, and is made from Bianchello = Biancame (95-100%), plus possibly some Malvasia Toscana (up to 5%).
