DOC (also referred to briefly as Bagnoli) for a wide range of red, rosé and white wines in the Veneto region in Italy. The zone includes the commune of Bagnoli di Sopra, from which it takes the name, as well as an additional 15 communes in the province of Padua. Cabernet is produced as either a true varietal or as a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère (minimum 85%), as well as of other red varieties. The Merlot must consist of at least 85% of this variety. Red Friularo is made from the Raboso Piave grape (minimum 90%) and other red varieties. Sweet red Passito is made from raisined grapes of the Raboso Piave and/or Raboso Veronese varieties (minimum 70%). The Bianco is a blend of Chardonnay (minimum 30%), Tocai Friulano and/or Sauvignon Blanc (minimum 20%) Raboso Piave and/or Raboso Veronese (minimum 10%). The Rosso is made of Merlot (15-60%), as well as any combination of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère (minimum 15%), as well as possibly other permitted red varieties. The Rosato must be produced from Raboso Piave and/or Raboso Vernonese (minimum 50%), Merlot (up to 40%) and other varieties. In addition, a Spumante Bianco and a Spumante Rosato are produced, both are made from Chardonnay (minimum 20%), Raboso Piave and/or Raboso Veronese (minimum 40%) and other varieties.
