DOC for white wine, located in the deep south of Tuscany in Italy, in the Maremma sub-region. The zone includes the Argentario peninsula on the Ligurian coast, which gave the zone its name, as well as a large area stretching to the East, to the interior. It overlaps with the DOC Bianco di Pitigliano. The dry wine is made from the Ansonica = Inzolia grape (minimum 85%) as well as from other white varieties (maximum 15%).
