This appellation has a total vineyard area of 450 hectares, it is located on the Sithonia peninsula („middle finger” of Chalkidike) in the wine-growing region of Macedonia in Greece. The vineyards are laid out in terraces on the shores of the Aegean Sea. The entire region was laid out in the early 1980s in accordance with the latest scientific findings. The region is owned exclusively by the giant Domaine Carras wine estate.
