This Greek wine and spirits company has ist headquarters in Kantza, not far from Athens in the Attika region. It was founded in 1869 by Andreas Cambas (born 1851). The name of Carribas soon became a synonym got high-quality brandies, and later also for wines. The first customer was the military hospital in Athens. This led to the development of the first company logo. The red cross. This was retained until 1919, when the symbol was registered as the international logo of the Red Cross association, and the company changed its logo to the clover leaf currently still in use. Since 1991, the estate has been owned by a member of the Boutari family. Grape varieties planted include the Agiorgitiko, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Moschophilero, Roditis and Savatiano. The company has cellars in the Mantinia (Peloponnes) and Kantza (Attika) appellations, where a wide range of wines as well as sparkling wines, brandies, retsina and ouzo are produced. Well-known wines include the Korinthia (Agiorgitko, Cabernet Sauvignon) from the Peloponnes region, the OPAP Mantinia (Moschophilero) and Cabernet Sauvignon from Attika.
