| The „Karl Haidle“ estate is located in the commune of Kernen-Stetten (Remstal-Stuttgart district) in the Württemberg wine-growing region in Germany. Hans Haidle took over the business from his father in the 1970’s, and increased the vineyard holdings from one hectare to its present size. A new cellar complex was built in 1993. The best parcels of land are located in the central, partly terraced section of the Stettener Pulvermächer vineyard site, rising up directly behind the estate buildings. The vineyard area totals 19 hectares, with holdings in the following sites: Häder, Lindhälder, Mönchberg and Pulvermächer (Stetten), Altenberg, Burghalde and Sonnenberg (Schnait), Nonnenberg (Strümpfelbach) and Wanne (Großheppach). They are planted with Riesling (7 ha), Trollinger, Kerner, Pinot Noir and Lemberger. The best wines made from Lemberger, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder grapes are matured in barriques sourced from France, Swabia and the Spessart region in Germany. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The estate is a member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter) and Deutsches Barrique-Forum associations.
