The estate is located in the village of Traisen in the Nahe wine-growing region in Germany. The family has been involved in wine production since the 16th century, today the estate is run by Dr. Peter Crusius. The vineyard area totals 17 hectares, with holdings in the following sites: Felsensteyer (Niederhausen), Kirschheck and Klosterberg (Norheim), Felsenberg and Kupfergrube(Schloßböckelheim), as well as Bastei, Kickelskopf, Nonnengarten and Rotenfels (Traisen). They are planted mainly with Riesling (65%), as well as Pinot Blanc (20%), Müller-Thurgau (5%), Pinot Noir (5%) and other Pinot varieties (5%). Apart from the dry wines, sweet Eiswein is also produced. Annual production is around 90.000 bottles of wine. Sparkling wine and grappa-style spirits are also produced.
