The „Weingut von Hövel“ estate is located in the commune of Konz-Oberemmel in the Saar section of the Mosel wine-growing region in Germany. It was at one stage part of the abbey-owned wine estate of St. Maximin, which was secularised under Napoleon. The estate was then owned by the state, from which Emmerich Grach purchased some vineyards in 1803, and founded the estate. It passed through succession to a granddaughter in 1902, who was married to Balduin von Hövel. The current owner is their great-grandson Eberhard von Kunow, the cellar master is Hermann Jäger. The vineyard area totals 10,5 hectare, this is planted exclusively (since 2001) with Riesling. The area includes holdings in the VDP classified Oberemmeler Hütte (monopole) and Kanzemer Hörecker (monopole) sites, as well as parcels of the legendary Scharzhofberg (Wiltingen) site. Wines produced from the Rosenberg and Agritiusberg (Oberemmel) sites are marketed as estate Riesling under the „Balduin von Hövel“ brand. Average yield is 55 hectolitres/hectare. The wines are made mainly in a fruity style, and matured in traditional oak vats, with both dry and naturally sweet variants available. The estate is a member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitäts-Weingüter) association.
