Apart from Montagne, Lussac and Saint-Georges, this is one of the four communes located just outside the AC Saint-Émilion (Bordeaux) in France, immediately to the north of the Barbanne river. These four communes may add their own name on the label, in this case it is Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion. The red wines are blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and are very similar to the wines of Saint-Émilion. The best-known producers include Château Bel-Air, Châtau Durand-Laplaigne, Château Fongaban, Château Guibeau La Fourvieille, Château des Laurets and Château Teyssier (also in Montagne).
