Top wines in Domain Pouilly-sur-Loire AOC
Small appellation located on the upper Loire in central France, south-east of Orléans. It is named after the town of the same name. The vineyard area totals 40 hectares, and is located as an enclave within the much more famous AC Pouilly-Fumé. In contrast to the “famous brother”, the white wine here is not a straight varietal Sauvignon Blanc, Instead it is made mainly from Chasselas, blended with some Sauvignon Blanc. Well-known producers include Domaine Champeau and Domaine Landrat-Guyollot.
