Village appellation in the Côte de Beaune region in Burgundy in France. The name of the village is Pernand, to this is appended the name of the best vineyard site „Les Vergelesses“ (18 ha), which is shared with the neighbouring commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune. Red wines are produced from Pinot Noir, and white wines from Chardonnay, with Pinot Blanc and Pinot Liébault also being permitted. As an alternative AC for red wines only Pernand-Vergelesses Côte de Beaune may be used. The vineyard area of the Premier Crus totals around 60 hectares. These are Les Vergelesses (also Basses-Vergelesses), En Caradeux, Clos Berthet, Clos Le Village, Creux de la Net, Creux de Pierre, Les Fichots, Ile des Vergelesses and Sous Frétille. The commune also owns a 17-hectare share of the famous Corton vineyard site. For this reason, the Grand Cru designations Corton (red wine) and Corton-Charlemagne (white wine) may also be used (see under Aloxe-Corton). Well-known producers include, among others, Bonneau du Martray, Chandon de Briailles, Denis Père&Fils, Domaine Delarche, Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine, Domaine Jacques Germain, Jadot, Louis Latour, Olivier Leflaive, Roger Raffelin and Rollin.
