  Patrimonio AOC

Appellation named after the town of the same name, located in the far north of the island of Corsica, off the coast of France. It stretches from the Gulf of Saint-Florent, to the west of Bastia to the south. It overlaps partly with the AC Muscat du Cap Corse. The vineyard area is only around 400 hectares, the soils are rich in limestone. More than 80% of the wines produced are red or rosé, they are made from a minimum of 90% of Nielluccio, as well as from Grenache Noir, Sciacarello and Vermentino. The white wine is a pure varietal made from Vermentino (known hier as Malvoisie). Well-known producers include Antoine Arena, Clos de Bernardi, Domaine de Catarelli, Domaine Gentile, Domaine Giacometti, Domaine Leccia, Clos Marfisi, Clos Montemagni, Orenga de Gaffory, Domaine Pastricciola, Domaine Aliso Rossi and Clos Teddi.
