Top wines in Domain Marsannay AOC
This is a communal appellation which includes the communes of Marsannay-la-Côte, from which it takes the name, as well as Cheôve and Couchey. It is located in the extreme north of the Côte de Nuits (on the Côte d´Or) in Burgundy in France. The total vineyard area is 105 hectares, the AC has been in place since 1978, and unusually for Burgundy, includes red, rosé and white wines. There are no Premier Cru sites. The rosé is sold as Rosé de Marsannay. This speciality was developed in 1919 by Joseph Clair (now the Domaine Bruno Clair), and has become a standard favourite.
