Graves de Vayres AOC

Appellation named after the historical town of Vayres, located in the north of the large Entre-Deux-Mers wine-growing region (Bordeaux). It has no connection with the famous Graves region. The total vineyard area of the AC is 600 hectares on gravelly and sandy soils, located on the left bank of the Dordogne river. It applies to dry and sweet white wines made from Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle and Merlot Blanc, as well as to red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
