Appellation in the Languedoc region in France, created in 2005. It is a sub-appellation of the AC Coteaux du Languedoc region, and comprises 46 communes in the vicinity of the city of Montpellier. The red wines are blends of Syrah (minimum of 70%), Mourvèdre and a minimum of 20% Grenache Noir.
