The appellation is named after the city of Marmande and is located in the north of the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region in France. The vineyard area totals around 1.700 hectares located to the south of the AC Bergerac. Red wines and rosés are blends made from a maximum of 75% Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as a maximum of 50% Abouriou, Malbec, Fer, Gamay and Syrah. The white wine is a blend consisting of a minimum of 70% Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Sémillon and Ugni Blanc. Well-known producers include Château la Bastide, Château de Beaulieu, as well as the two co-operatives CV de Beaupuy and CV de Cocumont.
