Languedoc

This VDQS region is located in the extreme west of the Languedoc wine-growing region, it borders on the AC Limoux in the north. The vineyard area totals around 650 hectares in 31 communes in the département Aude. It applies to red and rosé wines. The red wine is a blend of bis a maximum of 60% of each of the varieties Merlot, Malbec and/or Cinsaut, as well as a maximum of 30% of each of the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache Noir, Llladoner Pelut and Syrah. The rosé is made from Cinsault, Grenache Noir and Lladoner Pelut, as well as a total maximum of 30% of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Well-known producers include Domaine des Bruyère, CV de Malepère, Domaine de Matibat and CV de Razès.
