Cotes de Beaune AOC

Name applied to the southern half of the Côte d´Or (see there) section of Burgundy in France. The small appellation of the same name has a total vineyard area of 50 hectares. The appellation Hautes-Côtes de Beaune applies to the hills above the Côte de Beaune, and has a total vineyard area of around 650 hectares. Some of the communes are permitted to use the AC Côte de Beaune-Villages.
