One of the ten Cru vineyard sites in Beaujolais in France, it is an enclave located within the boundaries of the Cru Brouilly. The vineyard area totals 300 hectares, located all around the hill of Brouilly, an extinct volcano. The soil consists of granite and blue-green slate, and is known here as „Cornes vertes“ (green horn). The wines are full-bodied and are considered to have an even greater maturation potential than those of Brouilly.
