Bordeaux

This appellation is located in the south of the large area of Entre-Deux-Mers (Bordeaux) in France, it forms the southern extension of the AC Premières Côtes de Bordeaux. The appellation provides for a maximum of 2.300 hectares of vineyards, although currently only 30 hectares in 10 communes make use of it. It applies to sweet and botrytis wines made from Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. The more important red wines are marketed under the AC´s Bordeaux or Bordeaux Supérieur. The immediate neighbours are the three appellations of Cadillac, Loupiac and Sainte-Croix-du-Mont.
