Bordeaux

Appellation named after the town of the same name, it is an enclave within the large region of Graves (Bordeaux), the total vineyard area is around 200 hectares. It includes the communes of Illsats and Podensac. Primarily, sweet botrytis wines are produced from Sauvignon Blanc with a little Sémillon and Muscadet, these are a little milder than those of the neighbouring Sauternes region. The wines may also be designated as AC Graves. Well-known estates include Château Archambeau, Château de Cérons et de Calvimont, Château Grand Enclos, Château Haura, Château Huradin and Domaine du Hauret-Lalande.
