Regional appellation in the Côte Chalonnaise region, between Chagny and Saint-Gengoux-le-National in Burgundy in France. It was created in 1990, and includes 44 communes in the departement of Saóne-et-Loire. Three quarters of the production is red wine, the remaining quarter white wine, all made from the permitted varieties, the main ones being Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Also see under Bourgogne.
