Provence

The small appellation is located in the extreme eastern part of the Provence wine-growing region in France, close to the border with Italy. The vineyards are located above Nice, and have a total area of only around 50 hectares. The white wine is a blend made from Rolle, Ugni Blanc and Mayorquin, as well as a maximum of 40% of Clairette, Bourboulenc, Chardonnay, Pignerol and Muscat Blanc. Red and rosé wines consist of Braquet, Fuella and Cinsaut, as well as of a maximum of 40% of Mayorquin, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Chardonnay, Pignerol and Muscat Blanc. Well-known producers include Château de Bellet, Château de Crémat, Domaine du Fogolar, Max Gilli and Clos St-Vincent.
