There are gaps in both of them. The reasons for missing wineries are
threefold:

1) They are not included because the publishers do not find them good
enough.

2) The winery refuses to send in samples (for any reason)

3) Some wineries, especially in the big wine districts of Germany, have
not
been discovered by the authors

There are some wineries who refuse to send samples to Eichelmann. This
fact also goes for Gault Millau and WeinPlus.

WeinPlus (internet based) is using the 100 points in a more conservative
way than the two others, who are very much on the same level. At least
when I compare the top ten wineries here at Mittelrhein.

To a certain extent Eichelmann then buy the wines himself.

I don't know...

BTW

Concerning the quality and consistency of the ratings Weinplus and
Eichelmann are better than Gault Millau, which has "darlings" who are
persistently overrated, especially in the description of the wineries.

Eichelmann and WeinPlus are making blind tastings, this is not the case
at Gault Milllau.
