Subject: Too much oak |
Hello, normally I am a big friend of italian reds. But last weekend I have been on a private tasting of Emilia Romangna and Lazio wines. My god, most of them were some oaky, that you could virtually chew oak, and some of them have not even been technically correct. I believe that due to the ratings in the "Gambero Rosso" they think the more oak the better. But they loose their fruit and elegance. Very sad!
