There are other possibilities - say six people were to travel to Ireland, each carrying 12 bottles of German wine - rhar should see us through a weekend... My tentative idea for a first meeting is to get as many people as possible to come to the Boppard wine walk on the 23rd of April 2006. There are 16 wine producer stalls and 34 food stalls set up along the Bopparder Hamm slope, and one can spend all day walking from one to the next, tasting and eating. Hotels in the area are plentiful and cheap, and perhaps we can have an evening meeting/tasting at my house the night before. More details in the new year.
