| Dear Raymond, You left out the most important information about the Gimmeldinger (a Pfalz wine) is that of the PRODUCER. No doubt that's because 'The Wine Company' didn't provide you with it. That shows how much they know and care about German wine. (I've run into this situation before, obviously.) If they don't know enough about it to care to give you complete information, I'd hesitate to do business with them. On the other hand, they might give you the information if you ask for it. Depending on mood and type of food, I drink both dry and fruity. I strongly feel that if Germany went completely for the dry style it would be the greatest mistake. I'd sampled an Aussie fruity Riesling lately, it couldn't even come close to the Donnhoff. The upfront apricot, peach and slate are missing and the finish was short. On the other hand, most of their very dry ones are too tart and powerful for me.
