| OK Raymond, Sorry for the late answer: I was away these two days. I had not understood your question. It is true that the latest VDP (Verein Deutscher Prädikatweine)labelling rules are confusing, and have been lambasted by several people. Confusion stems from the fact that they are doubling the official labelling rules. From one (justly) irate piece by David Schildknecht in Jancis' site I got the following fragment, that I hope bears on the theme: He is listing absurds of the new nomenclature (it was created less than five years ago, I believe, and DS was writing in 2002), and in the list was "Printing '-er xy Spätlese trocken' on the official - but in practice 'back' label of Erste Gewächse." Hope that clears the mistery. Thanks Joćo Sorry, my question wasn't to clear. What I want to know is, if the following two wines are somewhat similar in quality: 1) Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Trocken 2) Grosses Gewächs (Wehlener Sonnenuhr) Both from the same producer.
