Go to www.deutscheweine.de . There is an English language option and they
list most of the weinfests. We just attended the Rodelsee Weinfest earlier
this month and had a very good time !

Guten Tag Everyone:
I am living in Southwestern Germany and one of the larger, regional
festivals (called: "Winzerfest") is held every other year here just north of
Stuttgart in a small city called Besigheim. It is held during the harvest
time (third weekend in September) and involves not only local and regional
curiosity and people, but wine enthusiasts from all over the world.

Many other smaller festivals or street fests are held throughout the summer,
but the one in Besigheim is actually a 4-5 day event, where the deep cellars
are all opened up, parties happen with live music and food throughout the
nights of the fest.

Of course, drinking only Baden-Wuerrtemberger wine and as much as possible.
As you may be aware, Baden-Wuerrtemberg has the largest per-capita wine
consumption rate in all of Germany, at around 40 liters per person...in this
land of beer drinkers.

Zum wohl!

Chris
