Subject: Re: German Wine retail internet sites |
hi ted, i guess that was the tasting at the lords cricket club...? i was too on that tasting but was disapointerd about the more or less poor attendance. there was a special tasting in the morning comparing 2003 riesling with 1990 - only half of the seats were booked. particularly the german pinots often displays a very good value....mostly unknown outside of germany. even the aging potential is very good - but you have to buy well known producer as stodden - heger - rebholz - philippi - salwey - becker...and so on. are you going to the london wine & spirits fair next week ? send nigel blundell an email - he is a shipper for some of the best german producers and he can give you some adresses & thus some websites. refer on me. nigelblundell@siegelwines.co.u try: www.frw.co.uk/ www.everywine.co.uk/ www.classicrarewines.com/ these are only a few. regards sigi >> Thanks for the info. I have seen the name loebb mentioned a few >times before but I have not been able to find their website. If you >know it please could you send it to me.
