Subject: Re: Liebfrauenmilch a tranlations

Thank you, Bernd, for your excellent translation of that Liebfrauenmilch
thing. I didn't bother, since thinking that most of our readers anyway are
German speaking. Of course, the quoted article is quite old, but it
indicates the right origin of that wine "LiebfrauENmilch" - obviously not
clear to most of the discusssion round here.
Doing some research on the subject I myself was in for a shock finding that
lately the term "Liebfrauenmilch" and "Liebfraumilch" - the latter formerly
used exclusively for the cheap imitation of the real thing - have become
interchangeable labels of a sweet mix of Rheinhessen-vintages, in plain
German 'gepanschter Wein' - but very popular in the US and UK. Well, - as
you said - the revenge for McDonald and as that fullheartedly OK!
Thanks and cheers with a good one
Wolf.
