Authors at Wein-Plus
We are always happy to receive offers for interesting articles worth reading on any aspect of the topic of wine.
In order to provide fair and equitable payment to authors of articles published in Wein-Plus, we base our calculations on the number of visitors accessing a particular article, and on the regular subscription income.
In this calculation, we provide, on a permanent basis, 50% of all incoming subscription payments in a pool used for payment of our authors. The remainder of the subscription fees remains with us.
The pool, or pot resulting from this is divided up in the ratio in which the visitor clicks, or accesses, are split among the various articles/contents available.
For example: an author is responsible for a specific field, or an article on Wein-Plus which attracts a total of 10% of all page accesses. This author will then receive 10% of the 50% of all subscription payments reserved for payments to authors, or 5% of all subscription fees we collect.
This is not a one-off payment, it remains valid for as long as the contents are used. In general, that is a period of
several years. In addition, the number of subscribers is constantly growing, which means that the size of the pool from which payments to authors are funded is also constantly growing. You have regular live access to the statistics relating to the number of viewers accessing your articles, and to the royalty payments resulting therefrom.
This may sound rather complicated, but it is actually quite simple, and results in an ongoing income, which is related to the frequency with which your article is accessed on the one hand, and also to the number of subscribers listed by Wein-Plus on the other.
Important note: when sending us articles, please add appropriate pictures and illustrations. We cannot publish articles without any picture material. We will check each article submitted to ascertain whether it meets our quality standards. Naturally, we reserve the right to reject articles submitted, and to refrain from publishing them.
We are prepared to consider publication of articles that have already appeared in other media. However we will not re-use articles that have already appeared online.
