The estate is located in the commune of Feuersbrunn in the Wagram wine-growing region in Lower Austria. It has been owned by the family since 1889, and current owner Bernhard Ott, who has been in charge since 1995, is the fourth generation of the family. The vineyard area totals 16 hectares, with holdings in the Am Berg and Rosenberg sites. 85% of the area is planted with Grüner Veltliner. Bernhard Ott has concentrated particularly on this classical Austrian variety, and makes up to five different styles from this grape each year. The premium wines include, for example, the Grüner Veltliner Der Ott, Grüner Veltliner Rosenberg Reserve and Grüner Veltliner Am Berg. The wines regularly receive high ratings and top awards at both the national and international level. At a tasting of Wine Magazine in London, the Grüner Veltliner Rosenberg Reserve was awarded 95 points, and Robert Parker gave it 91 points. Annual production is around 70.000 bottles of wine. Apricot spirits are also produced. The estate is a member of the Traditionsweingüter Österreich association.
