This estate has its headquarters in Rohrendorf in the Kremstal wine-growing region in Lower Austria. It was founded in 1986, when the Rohrendorf holdings of the Lenz Moser AG group were separated from the main company, and an own estate was established. Sepp Moser – son of Lenz Moser III. (1905-1978) and twin brother of Lenz Moser IV. – handed over the reins of the estate to his son Nikolaus (Niki) in 2000. The operation encompasses two wine estates. The headquarters are in Rohrendorf in Lower Austria, while the second estate is in the commune of Apetlon in the Neusiedlersee wine-growing region in Burgenland. The cellar at Rohrendorf was expanded and brought up to date in technical terms in 2000. Here the grapes from both estates are processed, and the wines made. After picking, the grapes from the Apetlon estate are transported to Rohrendorf in refrigerated containers. The vineyard area of the two estates totals around 51 hectares. In Rohrendorf, the vineyard area totals 23 hectares, with holdings in the Wolfsgraben, Breiter Rain, Schnabel and Gebling sites, which are documented as far back as 1284. Most of the sites have steep slopes of up to 45 degrees and are terraced. They are planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
