The estate owned by Margit and Franz Türk is located in the commune of Stratzing close to the city of Krems in the Kremstal wine-growing region in Lower Austria. The wine-growing tradition of the family dates back to the early 18th century. The current location was acquired in 1836, and has been expanded by succeeding generations. The vineyard area totals 15 hectares, located on loess, bedrock and conglomerate soils, with holdings in the Frechau, Sandgrube, Wachtberg and Weinzierlberg sites. More than 75% of the area is planted with the main variety Grüner Veltiner, the remainder is planted with Chardonnay, Riesling and Blauer Zweigelt. The aim is to produce full-bodied, long-lived wines with finesse that reflect the terroir. The wines are left on the lees for an extended period. When vintage conditions permit, sweet botrytis dessert wines right up to Eiswein level are porduced. The estate is a member of the „Kremser Convent“ association.

Gelber Muskateller, White wine, quality wine, dry, Kremstal
Another convincing range presented by Franz Türk. The only slight exception is the Veltliner "Frechau", which has some notes of varnish, which causes us some concern, but all the other wines are extremely enjoyable.
